Kevin Livesey
Kevin Livesey joins APG with more than 35 years experience working in tennis and living in South East Asia.
Kevin moved to Hong Kong in 1980 and spent thirteen years with the Hong Kong Sports Institute as Senior Coach and Head Tennis Coach, and also as the acting National Coach of the Hong Kong Tennis Association (HKTA), and from 1982-93 was also the coach and captain of the HKTA Davis Cup and Fed Cup teams.
In 1993 Kevin was responsible for reintroducing WTA Tour tennis tournaments to Hong Kong has since owned and/or operated WTA and ATP World Tour tennis tournaments in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Surabaya and Bali, Indonesia, and acted as consultant to the WTA tournament in Bangalore, India. He was also responsible for initiating the setting up of the WTA International Series tournament in Pattaya, Thailand until he retired in 2011.
From 2006 to 2011, Kevin was also a member of the WTA Board of Directors and a Member of the WTA Tournament Council from 2002 to 2012 representing the Asia Region.
He was inducted into the Hong Kong Tennis Association Hall of Fame in October 2016, and currently resides in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the place he has called home for the past 21 years.
